About the Monadnock Region

The Monadnock Region occupies the southwestern corner of the state. Keene serves as the regional center, while Peterborough, Jaffrey, Hancock and neighboring towns retain compact village settlement patterns.

Geography

Mount Monadnock and the surrounding highlands, the Contoocook and Ashuelot river valleys, and the Vermont and Massachusetts borders.
