About the Lakes Region

The Lakes Region surrounds Lake Winnipesaukee, the largest lake in New Hampshire, along with Squam Lake, Lake Winnisquam and dozens of smaller water bodies. Year-round and seasonal housing exist side by side.

Geography

Central New Hampshire, extending from Laconia and Gilford north to Moultonborough and east to Wolfeboro, with the Ossipee Mountains along the eastern edge.

Housing

Waterfront and water-access properties, shoreline cottages, year-round homes in village centers, and inland residential inventory away from the lakes.

Transportation

Interstate 93 to the west and Routes 3, 11, 25 and 28 serving the towns around the lake.
